This section is along the Buffels Bay Road but the road verges have been cut, and the sandy patches covered with wood chips. This part is 6 km long and mostly flat except for a few hills close to the entrance to the Goukamma Nature Reserve on the Goukamma River. Parking is available at the parking area on the ‘Wild Side’ of Buffels Bay, or at the old Goukamma Station. Look out for a sign about 5 km from the Wild Side parking area showing the turn off onto the old railway track to Goukamma Station.
